Meet our Team
Austin Knutson | CEO & Head Honcho
Hello, I’m Austin. In January 2010, I launched IronHorsesaddlery by helping my father-in-law, Jay, transition his small tack store into a fully online business. Having grown up in a horse-loving family, I spent much of my youth riding and camping. Following a nine-year stint in the Air Force, I discovered the perfect way to blend my Computer Science degree with my passion for leather and wood.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have hired an outstanding team to run our western wear store. As a bit of a hermit, I happily spend my entire workday in my home office, usually enjoying the first few hours sipping coffee in my pj with disheveled hair. Off the clock, I share life with my patient wife and 5 children, and a lively menagerie: chickens, a duck, a dog, stray cats, fish, two miniature donkeys, and Sydney, a QH who loves testing our saddles.
Josh Mawby | President
Hey, I’m Josh. I joined Ironhorsesaddle.com in February 2017, where I manage daily operations and oversee our South Bend boot store, Boots Y’all. Because I love animals and enjoy helping others, this role is a natural fit for me. I spend my time researching products to educate our customers, collaborating with our manufacturers, and connecting with people all over the globe. Ultimately, the most rewarding part of my job is helping customers find the ideal saddle that perfectly suits their horse, their riding needs, and their budget.
Ali Maes | Sales and Customer Service – English Specialist
Hey ya’ll! I’m Ali I joined the Iron Horse Saddlery team in January 2022, and it truly is my dream job. I love helping equestrians and their horses find perfectly fitted tack to enhance their rides. It’s incredibly fulfilling to put my diverse degrees in ( English, French, Teaching, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship) to work every day, alongside my practical knowledge of various riding disciplines. At home, I own a giant AQHA gelding with the personality of a golden retriever, plus a fantastic dog who acts like a human. They both constantly inspire and motivate me to keep growing.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me tending to my stable, gardening, hiking, or attending horse shows. I am also an avid supporter of my local 4-H club and love helping them out whenever possible.
Addison Barrick | Online Purchasing & Inventory
Hi everyone, my name is Addison and I’ve been working at Iron Horse Saddlery for about 3 years now, and I truly love my job and the people I work with. I handle Online Purchasing and Inventory here. When I’m not at the Saddle Shop, you’ll find me enjoying time with my daughter, Maci, and our furry (and not-so-furry) friends. My husband and I have two horses and two dogs. I’m also a big fan of trail riding, camping, and barrel racing.
Brad | Shipping & Receiving
Hi guys, I’m Bill & I’ve been part of the Iron Horse Saddlery crew since 2019, working in shipping and receiving. Basically, I’m the guy who makes sure all your packages, both coming in and going out, are handled properly. When I’m not at the shop, you’ll usually find me at home with my wife and two kids, or cheering on Notre Dame football. Place an order today, and I’ll get it shipped out to you as fast as possible!

Corinne Jones | Social Media & Marketing
Hi there! I’m Cori, and I’ve been working at Iron Horse Saddlery since November 2023. My job involves a bit of everything: I organize events and sponsorships, set up our online shops and products, and handle all our social media. My absolute favorite part of the job is getting to meet all the wonderful horses that come in for saddle fittings! When I’m not at the saddlery, you’ll find me in the garden, hanging out with my family, or hitting the books for my Sustainability degree. Olivia Westphal | Sales & Customer Service
Hey everyone, my name is Olivia and I’ve been part of the Iron horse saddlery family since September 2022. Horses have been my life’s work, and I can’t imagine it any other way! What’s really great about my job is getting to interact with so many different horses, which means I’m always picking up something new.
When I’m not at the shop, you’ll usually spot me out and about with my dog, probably getting into some fun mischief!

Josh has expertly assisted over 10,000 customers throughout his tenure, while Ali provides exceptional insights, particularly within the used saddle market.
